have a newsletter or miss the generational wealth
imagine having 50k-100k people who love what you build and say at the time when you're going to launch a product.
that's what i could have if i had a newsletter 3 and a half years ago when i was starting building in public.
a "newsletter" sounds boring af but not having one is a fatal mistake.
im realizing now that a newsletter is passive and it compounds. it's not like you sow a seed today and get a mango tmrw.
in this, a few ppl subscribe in a week like that.
"but i have lots of followers on twitter?" you can argue.
twitter followers (or followers on any platform) aren't your DIRECT AUDIENCE. there's X algorithm sits between you and your followers.
algorithm decides whether what you've said will reach to your audience or not.
if algorithm says NO, you are helpless. you can't do anything. (read this)
but if you have let's say 10k ppl subscribed to your newsletter, they are your own people.
they trust in you. no body gives their email to a retard.
and most important, there's no one between you and your ppl.
whenever you send an email it just goes to them directly. to all of them. every time.
ive realized this now that 10k newsletter audience >>>> 20k followers on any platform.
ive created my own newsletter just a few days ago and got ~70 ppl signed up.
it'll take time to get 10k ppl signed up.
it's also important to keep in mind that a newsletter isn't about marketing or promoting ur apps.
it's about building real relationships with ppl without algorithmic filters.
